As you probably already have noticed, the blog needs some work! After Hadithuna did some site maintenance, something happened to the design and a few other things on IlmCentral. Actually the posting option was not working for a long time (as i type this I hope insha’Allah it goes through!). Please have sabr with us, insha’Allah IlmCentral will be back to the way it was before, who knows maybe even better!!

 Our Attitude Concerning Mocking of the Prophet, SAW

Question:

We have heard about the Westerners making fun of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and mocking him. What should our attitude be towards that? How should we defend the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)?

Answer:

Praise be to Allaah.

Firstly: 

We and every Muslim who feels pride in his religion is grieved by what these fools and criminals have done by mocking our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) who is the best man who ever walked on this earth, and he is the leader of the earlier and later generations, may the blessings and peace of my Lord be upon him. 

This insolence is nothing strange on their part, rather it is to be expected of them.  

Moreover this crime – although it breaks our hearts and fills them with anger, and we are prepared to sacrifice our lives in defence of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) – is nevertheless something which brings us glad tidings of their doom, and tells us that the end of their supremacy is at hand. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): 

“Truly, We will suffice you against the scoffers”

[al-Hijr 15:95] 

Allaah will suffice His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) against the criminals who mock him. He says (interpretation of the meaning): 

“For he who hates you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), he will be cut off (from posterity and every good thing in this world and in the Hereafter)”

[al-Kawthar 108:3] 

i.e., he is scorned and humiliated and cut off from all that is good. 

When the Muslims besieged a stronghold and its people resisted, then they heard them mocking and reviling the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), they would sense that victory was at hand, and it would only be a short time before Allaah granted them victory, to avenge His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). 

Al-Saarim al-Maslool (p. 116-117). 

There are many historical cases where those who mocked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) were destroyed and finished off. 

Moreover, why do they resent the leader of mankind, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)? 

They resent him because he called people to believe in the Oneness of God (Tawheed), and they do not believe that God is One. 

They resent him because he venerated his Lord, may He be blessed and exalted, and declared Him to be far above what these fabricators say, as they attributed a wife and son to Him. 

They resent him because he called people to the loftiest of morals and to give up the lowest. He called them to virtue and to block all the means that lead to immorality, but they want moral disorder and unlimited sexual liberty. 

They want to indulge in the swamp of evil whims and desires, and they have got what they want! 

They resent him because he is the Messenger of Allaah! Allaah, may He be exalted, is the One Who chose him above all mankind to convey His message and receive His revelation.

How To Pray-This is a collection of 7 Videos detailing step-by-step how to make wudu and how to pray. The videos were made by BluePrint Productions in association with IISNA. They Alhamdulilah allowed Sister Shaykha to upload them onto youtube. We have linked them, and placed them under the fiqh section. Insha’Allah we will benefit from them! The Six Fundamentals

Al Usool us-Sitta, or the Six Fundamentals- This is a *ilmseries* placed under the Aqeedah section. It’s a very important lecture series. The speaker discusses an essay on aqeedah originally written by Sheikh-ul Islam Muhammad ibn AbdulWahhab, with explanation by Sheikh Muhammad Salih bin Othaaimeen, May Allah have mercy on them both. Here are some rules & reminders of/for IlmCentral

-*No Argumentation-There will be no debates/arguments with those of other faiths, or those of other “sects”. This is first of all against the Sunnah, unless it’s by a qualified person, and secondly it’s a waste of time, thirdly it has no place here. If you are looking for this, please look elsewhere…
-*Stick to the Sunnah-Insha’Allah we at IlmCentral adhere to the Quran and the Sunnah. Anything from us, whether that is posts or in materials to add to the sections, will be from the Quran and Sunnah, on the understanding of the Salaf. Even opinion pieces will be grounded in Quran and Sunnah, Insha’Allah (i.e. for example Nasheeha to the Ummah will have to contain evidences/proofs).
-*Ilm Focus-Our main goal here is to gain ilm, or knowledge. So many things will be centered around this theme, insha’Allah . But there will also be other content, such as advice to the Ummah, Poems, Book Reviews…which will insha’Allah be beneficial to the reader…
-*Comments- We welcome all comments, feeback, suggestions and criticisms so long as they are presented in a way that is appropriate (i.e. no foul language,lewd comments or hateful remarks). If it is with a certain post, then one should comment in that post. If it is for one of the main sections (such as Quran) or for the site overall, then one should head over to the guestbook to leave their comment. Insha’Allah

*Activity-Also, just in case you were wondering about the level of activity the blog will have (as in how frequent we will post/update). As of now there are 11 brothers and sisters who are on the Ilmcentral Team. Their jobs will be to post and update among other things. The Prophet, SAW said: “Seeking knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim”

The pious predecessors before us traveled to distant lands in search of this knowledge. Some traveled hundreds of miles just to learn one Hadith. SubhanAllah! Now, we are in an age where we do not have to travel far for knowledge, rather it is literally a click away! There are thousands of resources to learn from, especially online. In the internet we can find the works of many scholars who lived before, and also scholars who live amongst us now. We can find collections of Hadith; we can even find the whole tafseer (explanation) of the Quran. We can converse with the scholars of Islam, we can read their books and gain benefit from them. There are tons of resources that are there for us to use and take advantage of!

With this being said, I and a group of Muslims from all around the world have come together to use this resource, (the internet), as a tool to spread and share correct knowledge with the Muslim Ummah.

Our first project is this blog, called IMCENTRAL.

What is Ilmcentral?

Ilmcentral is a center (site) for learning correct knowledge about many subjects such as Aqeedah, Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Seerah and History from the scholars of Ahl Sunnah wa Al Jama’ah.

Who runs Ilmcentral?

IlmCentral will Insha’Allah be administered by a group of dedicated Muslims coming from all over the world. However their jobs will not be to teach, but rather to gather and spread books, audios, articles and videos already on the net by trustworthy scholars and share them the Muslim Ummah.

Who is IlmCentral for?

IlmCentral is for every Muslim seeking to learn more about their deen from a trustworthy site and from those scholars who are on the Quran and the Sunnah.

About the Authors & Contributors*: The authors are various dedicated brothers and sisters coming from all backgrounds, and with one common goal which is to revive the sunnah, revive the learning/spreading of correct Islamic knowledge. More info to come later about each particular author.

About the Sections*: There are 6 main sections on this site (so far). Home, Aqeedah (Beliefs), Quran, Hadith, Fiqh and Seerah & History.

-Home-This will be the main section. There will posts here by the authors, and also will be the place for updates. There will also be categories such as “Nasheeha Corner” and “Book Review” made where authors will post articles and other things. insha’Allah

-Aqeedah- This will be the section to learn the fundementals! Our beliefs! This is the recommended place to start before anything else. There is one ilmseries for this section

-Quran-Recite, Read and Ponder upon the Quran, the Word of Allah SWT! Come to this section to find oinline translations, transliterations and recitations. There is two ilmseries for this section.

-Hadith- The sayings, actions approvals and disaprovals of the Last Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah, SAW. Come here to read collections of hadith books and to listen to lectures on various topics such as sciences of hadith. There is one ilmseries for this section.

-Fiqh- Fiqh, or Jurisprudence. Come here to learn about this great science, it’s foundations and principles. Learn about the different madhab (schools of thought). Learn also about the four Imams of these madahib (and those of others), the four main imams being Abu Haneefa, Malik, As-Shafe’i and Ahmed ibn Hanbal. May Allah have Mercy on them! There is one ilmseries for this section.

-Seerah & History- Come here to learn the seerah (or life) of the Prophet SAW. Come to also learn about other great people such as companions, scholars, leaders and fighters in our rich history! There are two ilmseries for this section!

 About the Ilmseries*- The Ilmseries which can be found in each section are study courses. Audio lectures (and sometimes notes) from Shayookh explaining a certain subject, topic or concept. For example one ilmseries on seerah (or life) of the Prophet SAW.

Posting will begin soon, insha’Allah ! And we will continue updating by adding materials (audios, books, videos, etc) to each section! And there are more *IlmSeries* to come insha’Allah

I ask you all to make dua that this project is sucessful insha’Allah ,and also try to help in any way you can to help this blog grow. Be sure to spread the word to others too so that they might benefit.
