About the Book

This is a brief essay of al-Imaam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (rahimahu-llah) which deals with the pure Islamic ‘Aqeedah (Creed) and correct Minhaaj (Methodology) of the early generations of the Muslim Ummah.  Al-Imaam Ahmad (rahimahu-llah) has also mentioned in it some matters of al-Furoo’ (secondary matters of Jurisprudence) – such as wiping over the socks - whenever these matters have a relationship to the ‘Aqeedah and Minhaaj. In it he has emphasized the importance of the Sunnah and warned against the dangers of  Bid’ah. The explanation of this essay is taken from the Noble Shaykh Abdullah ibn Abdur-Rahman al-Jibreen (Hafizahu-llah).
